Our Team

Dr. Heath Coleman is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oklahoma State University and earned his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) summa cum laude from Northeastern State University’s College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. His clinical experience included a partnership with the Cherokee Nation to provide state-of-the-art eye care to their under-served population. He brings nearly two decades of experience practicing in Denton, Texas, prior to opening Elevate Eyecare of Frisco. He lives in Frisco with his wife and daughter, and is an avid fisherman.

Dr. Jenifer Nguyen is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston. She earned her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the University of Houston College of Optometry where she was a clinical Assistant Adjunct Professor from 2016-2020. She is a member of the optometric honor society Beta Sigma Kappa, American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and served on the board of the Northeast Texas Optometric Society. She lives in Plano with her husband and daughter.

Tara started her eyecare career later in life as a medical ophthalmic technician.  She has previously assisted with cataract patients in an ophthalmology practice prior to joining Elevate Eyecare of Frisco.  Tara loves patient care and enjoys performing/learning the newest diagnostic testing technology that assists the doctors in their diagnosis and treatment plans. Tara also trains the contact lens patients and it is especially satisfying for her to be able to help patients get their optimal vision while being glasses free.  Tara has a degree in communications that has come in handy making sure the patients and the doctors have everything they need on a daily basis.  Fun fact Tara worked at Starbucks for many years and loves the art of taking care of people with exceptional customer service.

Christy has been a full time optician for over 20 years and is board certified by the ABOC.  Christy knows her craft inside and out with many years of experience in the eyecare industry.  She has exceptional skill for being able to adjust glasses for optimum comfort and many people travel all over the metroplex to have her adjust their glasses.  Christy can help with all aspects of your eyewear needs such as frame styling, lens design selection, measurements, AR coating selection, repairs/adjustments, insurance questions, and all other lens options recommendations.  Christy enjoys traveling with her family, taking care of her horses, going to horse shows, and boating during the summer.
